May Garden Update

Considering the weather, things are looking pretty good in the garden. The tomatoes have set some fruit, but will certainly be much happier when the nights are above 50. With the new bed along the back fence and the addition of several smart pots, we should have a very good season.

We've already harvested one of these- there
are 2 more on the plant. These are the grafted
big bertha green bell peppers.

Japs in the new bed

Squash! We've NEVER had luck with squash, but I'm watching
them like a starving hawk circling prey. No squash bugs will
get my veggies this year.

Same with zucchini.

We have several types of basil this year. I LOVE it. Lemon,
lime, thai, purple, and 2 varieties of "regular".

My 35 pound, 4 month old puppy

The front 3 pots are potatoes

Meyer lemons!

Grafted tomatoes- looking good

Stray basil. This stuff pops up everywhere

Figs

Little cutie type oranges. We had 3 last year and they were
excellent!

This has been your monthly (ok, random) garden update.
