Mother's Day Celebrations

I had the most fantastic extended Mother's Day celebrations. It started on Thursday, when we went to Corsicana to celebrate my favorite Mom. Even Tyler was in town for the celebration, and it was so good to see him! Holly had brought some baby chicks to the house, and Alice really enjoyed watching them play in their box. And Max went swimming in the lake for the first time- he loved it!

Saturday we came home and got ready to go out and celebrate with my favorite people, who also happen to be moms. We got babysitters and drank wine and ate awesome food and enjoyed our awesome friendship. It was a fantastic, long overdue and much needed night out. My friends are the best ever. Blair even made her outfit. At home. Awesomeness. 

Sunday morning I woke up to some cuddles with Alice and a beautiful new necklace with her birthstone, and coffee in bed. Hard to beat that. We also took a long walk, had a picnic lunch at the park, and then while the kids were napping, Zack and I broke in the pool for the first time this year! All of that followed by a dinner of steak, king crab and squash and zucchini from our garden! It was perfect.
