We took our first road trip with Alice for Easter weekend, and it went great! We stopped in Waco for gas and she ate, but other than that she slept the entire time. Over the weekend Alice was full of smiles and she slept so good. The best sleep I think she's ever given us, at least consistently (no it didn't last once we got home). We can probably thank Aunt Holly, Nina and Papa for spoiling her to exhaustion. And Blake is adorable with her- he always wanted to be by her: bouncing her, holding her, telling her stories (I caught a big one- not kidding, that was his story for her)! We did some fishing and Blake had the biggest bass (like 8 pounds) but it broke off right before he got it up. "Are you serious" is what he kept saying. We all saw it though- that fish was jumping out of the water like crazy. And it got away with his Easter lure. Blake didn't care, it was really exciting. So yeah, awesome first Easter with Alice and the family. I love holidays.
